Sunday Oct 27, 2013

This week, Jaqueline Scott brings a message from The Word of God.
She reminds us that we have a new, and better, covenant with God, through the finished work of Jesus on the cross.
We are also reminded that, as born again believers, we are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people.

Do you have the desire to diligently study the Word of God?
We have to do this for ourself; it is a personal responsibility to commit to diligently study the Word to gain the knowledge, and understanding, of all that God has provided for us through Jesus! It is knowledge and understanding of the Word that makes us free!
The Holy Spirit will not physically open up a Bible for you; you need to have the desire for wisdom, knowledge and understanding that only the Word of God provides.
In writing to the Ephesians, Paul does not pray for God to give the saints wisdom, knowledge and understanding; he prays that the saints, and therefore all born again believers, will have the desire for Godly wisdom, knowledge and understanding!

As well as taking personal responsibility, like the prodigal Son, we are also to be like servants to all we come into contact with!

Sunday Oct 06, 2013
Nunsy continues to share about the work of the Holy Spirit now that we are in a New Covenant with God, through the finished work of Jesus.
Paul, in his writings, continually contrasts the old with the new and shows us that, because of what Jesus has done, our ministry is now of the Spirit. There was an old way of doing things but Paul tells us that the 'new way' is more glorious because it is of the Spirit and not of the Law!
