The Character & Names of God: #7: God is Generous!

Today, Pastor Vic explores another aspect of the character of God; His generosity.

Using three very familiar passages; feeding the five thousand, the wedding at Cana and the prodigal son, we see that His provision for us is great in terms of quantity and quality, thus making Him a very generous Heavenly Father.

This is a simple truth that the body of Christ do not fully believe; if we did believe it we would stop saying, God sends storms, illness and other 'bad' things our way.

The Character & Names of God: #5: Jehovah - Tsidkenu

This is now the 5th message in our series looking at the names of God.

The one today is from Jeremiah and is, 'the Lord our Righteousness'.

The people are told of a day coming when Jesus would be the route for righteousness.

No works; no good deeds required; righteousness comes from Jesus as a gift of grace through faith.

We now live in that time and are the more blessed for it.

The Character & Names of God #4 : Jehovah - Ra'ah

We carry on today with another name for God; another descriptor of His true character.

This week we are looking at Jehovah – Ra’ah: the Lord my shepherd.

Do you know this can also be translated as, ‘the Lord my Friend’?

Jesus wants to provide us with security and abundance; He wants to be your shepherd.

The Character & Names of God. #3 Jehovah-Rapha

The name of God that we look at today is, 'Jehovah-Rapha'; "I am the Lord your physician".

God is indeed our physician, having provided healing through the finished work of Jesus Christ.

This healing is physical and it is for us today.

This week it is the well known name, Jehovah Jireh; the God who will provide or, more literally, the God who will see to it.

Pastor Vic starts a new series this week, looking at the character and names of God.

In this first message he looks at the first name for God that we see in the Bible.

In Genesis 1 v 1 the word used for God is a wonderful Hebrew word, 'Elohim'.

Live Life to the Full!

In this week's message, Jackie Scott uses the example of Paul writing to Timothy to fight the good fight of the faith.

We are encouraged to be aware of false teachers and to pursue Godly attributes knowing that, as born again believers, we are righteous and that we can live an abundant life this side of the grave!

We need to acknowledge who we are, and where we are, in Christ, so that we can enjoy life to the full; right here! right now!

New Covenant Prayer. #2

As a born again believer, if we know and understand the covenant that we are in with the Lord, we will have the revelation of the truth of the covenant that we are in with the Lord.

We will have the revelation of the truth of how we can approach the Lord and what that means for our relationship with Him.

Nunsy reveals how we now approach the Lord through prayer; it is not how Nehemiah prayed; we now pray according to the New Covenant.
