New Covenant Prayer. #1

As a born again believer, do you want revelation of the things of God?
 
Nunsy Cameron reminds us that God deals with mankind according to covenant; therefore we need to know the covenant we are in with God so that we can benefit from our covenant relationship with God.

Using the example of Nehemiah, Nunsy shows us the difference, in how and what we pray, between the Old and New Covenants.

Nunsy explains the importance of praying in the Spirit; ie. praying in tongues; so that the things of God will be revealed.

We are getting near the end of our journey through the book of Galatians and today we look at a topic that causes problems for some believers.

Paul tells the Galatians that they should be giving out of their resources to supply the needs of their teachers.

Those who teach the Word of God should be provided for and, in our culture, that means giving financial reward.

In the message today we start looking at Galatians chapter 6.

This may look like a list of things to do; it is not. It is a list of what we should see manifest in our lives if we know and understand grace.

Paul reminds us that we have been placed in the liberty of grace for the purpose of loving and serving others.

Find out how we can restore a fallen brother and also how to take the burden off a fellow believer.

We are now in week 15 of our travels through Galatians and this week Pastor Vic completes chapter 5.

This time we look at what we will see if we walk in the Spirit or walk in the flesh.

Both are quite conflicting walks and I know for sure that I want to be displaying the fruit of the Spirit rather than fruit from walking in the flesh.

The Scriptures show us that walking in the Spirit equates to living under grace and walking in the flesh equates to living under law.

After listening to this message you will choose grace.

The Gospel of Grace. #14

As we continue with our journey through Paul's letter to the Galatians, Pastor Vic, like Paul, exhorts us to stay under the 'umbrella' of God's grace.

Paul reminds the Galatians that if they move out from under grace then they will fail. This is true for born again believers today!

However, we must be aware that living under grace is not a licence to sin but is a licence to love and to serve!

We have reached Galatians 5 v 1 in our series on Paul's first epistle.

Today we go through this verse word by word; looking at what this means for us today.

No message this week folks as we had an extended time of praise and thanksgiving for the life of Jean Longstaff.

Jean knew the Lord and went to be with Him last Sunday.

Rom 10 : 8 – 11  But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; 
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 
For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

Jean was one of God’s diamonds; a lady who was joyful in all circumstances.

Pastor Vic received the following email from his son this morning:

Good morning all. Hope you are having a wonderful service this morning remembering a very special woman. I will always remember the first time I met Jean, we clicked immediately and as we spoke it was as if there was no generation gap between us at all. She was hilarious, sharp and witty. I only spoke to Jean twice, but even from such a brief and finite moment it is clear to me that she was a tremendously passionate woman! The last time I saw her I was helping her into a car and just before she pulled away she asked me to sing for her, a song called ‘Loving You’ from a Sondheim musical. I’m very grateful to have met Jean before she passed and look forward to singing with her again when I go!!

Jean was a special lady to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and to us all. She will be missed. We give thanks for Jean’s faithfulness to the Lord and to

Moray Grace Fellowship.

Typology is used throughout the Scriptures to help describe concepts and ideas to us.

In this next part of our journey through Galatians, Paul uses typology to compare law and grace.

He uses Ishmael and Isaac; how they were born, and what happened to them, to explain more to us about law and grace.

Grace is to be embraced while law is to be "kicked out.".

The Gospel of Grace. #11

In the message today, we continue in our journey through Galatians, looking at Paul sharing his concerns about the church in Galatia.

Their initial enthusiasm, and blessings, after receiving the truth, had obviously worn off; the danger of listening to legalists.

Paul tells the church that they have not offended him and that he really wants them to move back under grace.

What Paul says to the Galatians is also important for the church today.
